Architecture: spreadsheet ingestion, confidence gate, human review, and dashboards

The problem

Construction firms track project finance in spreadsheets that only one person understands. By the time a job’s margin has slipped, the sheet says so months late.

What we built

  • Excel and CSV ingestion with a human review step, so nothing commits without approval
  • Project-first dashboards: margin, budget burn, per cent complete, drill-down to transactions
  • Construction-native metrics: cost-to-date vs budget, profit fade, retention, over-billing and under-billing
  • Ask-your-numbers questions answered in plain language

What the AI does

Claude maps messy, inconsistent spreadsheets onto a real transaction schema, flags rows it is not confident about rather than guessing, and learns each accountant’s conventions from the corrections they make. Then it answers plain questions about the numbers, such as whether a particular site is still profitable.

A note on numbers

We do not publish performance metrics we cannot substantiate, and we do not publish client results without the client's agreement. If you want to talk to a reference about a specific engagement, ask and we will arrange it where the client is willing.
